Rachel
Kia ora! I'm Rachel, the studio manager for the Pinot & Picasso Christchurch CBD studio. I'm originally from Brisbane, Australia and moved to New Zealand in 2021. While I love my Australian roots, New Zealand is a beautiful place to live and I leaped at the opportunity to manage our sip and paint in the Christchurch CBD.
Outside of the studio I love painting and sketching at home - I can’t get away from it! I'll take any chance to go on a mini road trip and see more of New Zealand, especially the South Island.
FAQ
- Where are you located?
-
Our Pinot & Picasso Christchurch CBD studio is located in the heart of Christchurch along Montreal Street! You’ll find us on the corner between Montral and Victoria Street.
- Can I purchase alcoholic beverages near the studio?
-
Thirsty Liquor Victoria Street is located just around the corner for all your needs!
- Are there local restaurants and bars nearby?
-
Want to grab a bite to eat before your session? We highly recommend Mexicano’s, The Bog, and Spagalimis Pizzeria Restaurant and Bar.
- Do you offer catering?
-
Unfortunately, we don’t offer catering but our sip and paint studio in the Christchurch CBD is fully BYO so please bring along any food or drinks you want for you session!
- What are your parking options?
-
We recommend parking on Victoria or Montreal Street as the best options.
- What time should I arrive and how long are the sessions?
-
We recommend arriving at the studio 10 minutes before the session commences as to give you plenty of time to get comfortable, set up, and get the wines flowing. The estimated running time is between 2 – 3hrs.
- If I come with a friend, will we be sitting together?
-
We will always do our best to ensure that groups are placed together.
If you and your friends are booking separately, it’s best to arrive a little earlier to ensure we can seat your group together. We like to operate under the mantra ‘first in best dressed’ when it comes to seating in our sip and paint studios.
If you have any other special requests please put the details into the booking notes! We want everyone to have the best experience possible at Pinot & Picasso. - What do I wear to a night at Pinot & Picasso?
-
We like to keep our arty parties fun and exciting. Whether you choose to dress up, make your sip and paint a theme, or just attend for a date night on the weekend we expect you to wear what feels comfortable. As our experience does involve paint (shocking! I hope we mentioned this earlier) we do encourage you to not wear anything you would be disappointed if paint ended up on. Or couldn’t be dry-cleaned. Our artists will provide you with aprons to wear during the session to minimise any accidental paint mistakes.
- Is there a fridge & glassware?
-
Yes, our Pinot & Picasso studios all have a fridge inside their studio to keep drinks cold! We also have glassware too so no need to bring plastic cups!
