FAQs
- What is included in a Private Function package?

Included in a Private Function package is everything you’ll need to create your masterpiece (except whatever you’ll be drinking – we’re BYO!*). All private functions receive exclusive access to the studio area, with the session lead by one of our exceptional hosts.
Personalise your private event with your own choice of music or BYO* decorations and food – or we can help you organise catering through our local supplier!
We will supply all the necessary equipment, including:
- Your choice of artwork
- A 16′ x 20′ blank canvas
- Acrylic paints
- Brushes
- Table easel
- Pinot & Picasso apron and
- Glassware for your beverages (most importantly)
If you are organising an event at a location outside of the studio (i.e. at your home) you will be required to provide glassware, tables and chairs and access to running water.
*Excluding the Taranaki studio as of 15/7/24.

- Can I host a mobile pop-up event?

Yes – we can bring our signature Pinot & Picasso experience to you! Ideal for restaurants, venues and private residences. We’ll provide all the necessary equipment to create your masterpiece. You’ll need to provide:
- Tables
- Chairs
- Glassware
- Access to running water
- Parking and access information
- If your event is being run at a hired venue, we will require a confirmation from the owner to run the event.
Travel costs may also apply – submit a function enquiry to receive a quote.
- Can I host a kids private sessions?

Yes! We have a range of artworks tailor-made for kids birthdays and celebrations.
These sessions include a fun-sized canvas (12” x 16”), suited to get the best out of your little one’s experience and run for 90 minutes.
Submit an enquiry for a private event or check your local studio for school holiday and family-friendly sessions.
- What food options are available?

We strongly encourage everyone to have a little food to eat while they sip!
Let us do the hard work for you with one of our hand-crafted, locally sourced grazing boards or pizza and graze packages, courtesy of our catering partners. Packages start from $25 a head, get in touch to discuss our options!
You are of course welcome to bring your own food and nibbles along to your in-studio Private Function.
Our studios are BYO* so don’t forget to pack your beverages!

- Can I purchase alcohol at a Pinot & Picasso studio?

Being a BYO-only* venue, we don’t sell anything on the premises. Remember to bring your favourite bottle with you! If you forget, we’re more than happy to point you in the right direction.

- What if I need to cancel my Private Function booking?

Private Function deposits are non-refundable. In the event you need to cancel or reschedule your Private Function, the deposit can be transferred to an alternate date that is suitable to yourself and Pinot & Picasso or returned as studio credit.
If the full amount has been paid and there are more than 2 weeks before the session date, we can reschedule your private function to another date that is suitable for you and also the Pinot & Picasso studio.
We are unable to refund or reschedule private functions within the 2 weeks before your session date. The full amount will be forfeited. We hope this never has to happen.
Pinot Guarantee does not apply to Private Functions. If you have accidentally purchased it with your Private Function, we are more than happy to refund the Pinot Guarantee fee at your request.
- Can I request a Custom Artwork?

You sure can! If you and your mates are super creative and want to do something extra unique we can create a custom artwork from your concept. The charge will be $300 in addition to your booking and we’ll need 4 weeks notice to give enough time for the creative process.
- What is the minimum spend?
-
Our private events have a minimum spend which allows you exclusive access to the studio area and guidance through your choice of artwork by one of our exceptional hosts.
Our quotes will differ depending on the studio and your individual event needs. To get a quote to suit your needs, submit a function enquiry for a quote.
